Welcome to Cassiny's Docs!

What is Cassiny?

Cassiny is an open source data science platform.

You can use our hosted version or run it in your cloud infrastructure or on bare machines.

Cassiny is provider agnostic, you just need to have Docker.

Concepts

Before starting is better to clarify a few concepts:

Blueprints

A blueprint is a Docker image used to run services.

No matter if you are running a probe, api or job they are all based on a blueprint. You can find the community blueprints inside our repository or docker hub.

Can't you find the blueprint that you need? We are here to help, just open a issue a we will be happy to discuss about your needs :)

Cargos

A cargo is a S3-like object storage, you can connect to it using boto for example. In the future will be possible to mount cargos inside probes, jobs or apis like a normal folder.

Probes

A probe is Jupyter notebook server instance, you can connect to it using the website or as a remote kernel using Atom or Visual Studio Code.

APIs

A machine learning model wrapped inside a blueprint (docker image) and offered as API.

Jobs

A job is long running process, you can specify the command that will be executed inside the job.

Can't you find the blueprint that you need? We are here to help, just open a issue a we will be happy to discuss about your needs :)
